Tutorial: 50/50 Stud

Created using Scotch magic tape…

First, paint two coats of Nails Inc The Southbank (a mid grey) onto your nails

Give it a bit longer than you normally would for it to dry. Then, use some Scotch Magic Tape to cover up the bit of the nail that you want to remain grey. Don’t press too hard, or you may find that it lifts some of the varnish up later on. It should look like this

Then apply one good coat of Rimmel Salon Pro in Navy Seal to the exposed area. You can use any colour, but make sure the second colour will have enough coverage with only one coat. Remove the tape immediately.

When it has dried, apply a layer of clear top coat (I use Maybelline Forever Strong Pro in Crystal Clear). Put the stud on immediately. I find that the easiest way to do this is to lick a fingertip and pick up the stud that way.

Top with another coat of clear nail varnish to secure the stud, et voila!
