Tutorial: Glitter Gradient

wpid-20131210_002414-1.jpg

This is a glitter gradient created with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Barry M in Ruby Glitter, and it’s a surprisingly easy affect to achieve – no special tools, and no real skill required.

Tutorial after the jump…

To achieve this effect, you will need to apply your base coat, then you need to build up the glitter in several layers. So, paint the glitter over the top three quarters of your nail, then the top half, and then just the top quarter. You can see it in this diagram here: the more opaque it is, the more glitter there is.

  1. This is pretty, especially over that cool toned base!
