Today’s mani was inspired by W7’s Lava Flow nail polish
More after the jump…
Today’s GOTpolish challenge was orange. Yikes. I never wear orange! Luckily I happened to have some Barry M Gelly in Mango left over from a couple of festive designs, so I was able to submit these butterfly nails today!
I was inspired by the famous monarch butterfly, which looks like this
I created the effect with three (!) coats of Mango. I then used two Rio nail art pens in black and white to draw on the design

For today’s GOTpolish challenge, I’ve done a blue and nude fishtail chevron mani. They’re super simple to do, and you don’t need ANY tools to do them – not even a nail art brush! You can find a tutorial over at Chalkboard Nails
The two polishes are Barry M Gelly in Blueberry and Lychee

Happy Valentines Day everyone! This is my entry for the GOTpolish Challenge Valentines design. It was created using OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and a red Rio nail art pen.
So, why not a more traditional, feminine design? Less because I’m a grumpy git who won’t have anything to do with this romantic nonsense (bah!) and more because the boyfriend is a first aider who likes all things medical!

So, here’s the newest installment of the GOTpolish Challenge 2014! This week’s challenge is green. Not a colour I normally wear, I must confess, so my options for which polish I could use were somewhat limited.
So, to create this mani I
1. Used a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (two coats)
2. Using the regular brush from the bottle, I applied an off-centre stripe of Sinful Colors Exotic Green
3. Using a Rio nail art pen, I drew four lines on each nail
Next week, I have a rather unromantic Valenines day mani for you!

So, we’re into February, and month two of the Tripolish challenge! I have to admit that I’ve struggled a little bit with the colour combo – I don’t have many polishes in brown or grey (i.e. one each!), it’s not a colour combo that I’d normally choose to put together, and it’s not really related to many things that you find in nature like last month’s challenge (red, orange and yellow) was. So, definitely a challenge!
One of the rules with Tripolish is that you stick to the same polishes for the whole month, so this month I’ve chosen
So, without further ado, here goes!

The blue is 17 in Heart Beat, which I picked up for 50p in the Boots clearance recently, so it was something of a bargain! I’m still yet to work out why a pale blue is called heart beat though, as a blue heart normally means no oxygen, so i’s not beating …aaand I’ll leave it there. Maybe they pick the names out of a hat.
I then did a row of overlapping white dots in OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, followed by a line of black dots in Nails Inc New York Noir. Finally, in the centre of each black dot I added a smaller dot of Heart Beat.

I’m also something of a fan of polka dots, and there are loooads more designs here.
